A charcoal sketch rests on the table at the back of the clinic. It seems to capture a moment way before the nightly celebrations take place- and just before the calm morning Kuras had planned for himself for the new years. The sketch is well-shaded, but “hastily done”.

Kuras puts the stick of charcoal down. “You done now?” Opeli’s eyes follow the smooth flicking of wrist to dust the black charcoal off the paper. Kuras’s sleeves remain curiously pristine, “More or less. Minutes can’t do art justice, but since someone decided to wake up late, we’ll make do with the time we have. Are you done getting ready?”

Opeli chuckles “Yes, yes. Aren’t you excited to be next, birthday boy?”

This is a piece I made for the 31st! The day gap between Opeli (Dec 30) & Kuras’s (Jan 1) birthdays! The plot is basically that before they leave for a new years celebration, Kuras takes the time to do a small sketch. Inspired from the official lore of this man also bringing knowledge of the arts to humanity-I ALSO expect this man to know how to draw thank yewwww
