Cress had been relieved from headquarters, the evening giving way to a new wave of Gamemakers who would take over through the night. But still, she stood before the screen in awe, fingers dancing across her lips, parted in admiration of her own terrible handiwork. The rich history of this arena, of these mutts, of all that was planned. It was different to see her own creations -- deadly and beautiful.

"Divine, isn't it?" the movement in her periphery signaling that she was no longer alone. "Horrid and divine."

OPEN - Masquerade

Fitzroy may have come stag to the grand reopening of Midnight Mirage, but that wouldn't prevent the male from having a damned good time. In fact, he had intentions to ask just about every person he saw in attendance for at least one dance before the night was through. He loved to dance. And it was a masquerade! If anything, the night was made for bold choices.

He sidled up to the next person, already a couple of drinks and several dances in. "And you!" Fitzroy greeted, with a wide grin as he tossed up his cane and caught it about the middle in a dramatic flourish. "I would be honored if you'd join me for a fresh turn?" Here, the British male gestured the walking stick towards the area where a number of couples were already dancing. "Or," he considered then, because Fitzroy felt a bit off inside and as such, knew a break was important too, "at the very least, allow me to fetch you some libations?"

A Peacekeeper escort was becoming the norm. Out of his arena, through his victory tour, and now -- from his room to the mansion, having been forced to change his clothes. The camp uniform confiscated, back en route to the museum he'd snatched it from. And, just like that...an unruly victor's tantrum was squashed. Quelled. Successfully swept under the rug.

Nano was hiding now. Knees pulled to his chest, curled in the corner of an empty corridor beside a window where, even in the dark, he could see the outline of trees and plants. A garden, maybe. Probably. But everything reminded him of camp. He traced a shape idly in the condensation of the glass, murmuring in a low voice to Conny as she crossed her legs beside him.

"You know, half these people wish I died?" He was making light of it, if only because he was already gutted. "I actively heard someone say it would have been more interesting if you'd just stabbed me." Conny giggled at that, and the sound made him smile, made him feel a little less hollow inside. But she turned, her eyes landing on someone, so Nano turned too, head craning up to appraise the sight.
