The new "Core" of Bertone Visuals Post is up!
Today my friend Jeff Brue, the guru of high speed storage systems, installed the new SuperMicro Server in the BV’s vault. Over a Petabyte of corporate rated fast 6G SAS hard drives are now ready to provide a spectacular data throughout for all the workstations and the DIT carts connected via dual-link fiber optics. DaVinci Resolve and Autodesk Smoke will share the media stored in the server handling 4K footage and beyond in real time. It took time and $$$ to get there, with unusual Operative Systems, but the result is outstanding and Mac and PCs talk to each other. Now it’s time to grade!
