"Well I wasn't expecting you to be at this little ball, can definitely say this evening won't be a huge bore" Nicholas said as he held out his arm for her to take. "Would you do me the honor of my plus one, a little forward I know but I figured you'd want to be in the company of someone that won't immediately give you a headache" Nicholas said. If anyone knew Nicholas he wasn't one to rush into any kind of romance but seems fate had other ideas.

"You know this is exhausting I much prefer dueling with a wand rather a sword, you know what they say, never bring a sword to a wand fight" Nicholas said as he parried the other's attack before swinging and knocking the other's weapon from their hand. "There, you're been disarmed" Nicholas said as he stood back. "The only reason I know a lot about fencing is because a good friend of mine, who is a muggle loves the sport and well wouldn't be very friendly if I didn't try to learn something muggle related" he added.

"You know, I was gonna save the news as a bit of a surprise, but I guess someone beat me to it; but yes, I have officially retired from being an Auror to take on the Defense Against The Dark Arts post at Hogwarts. Apparently, I was the first choice to take over after the previous professor retired; it has been a long time since I stepped foot on Hogwarts grounds." Nicholas said excitedly. To set foot back in the castle where he had spent seven years of his life would be a perfect way to kick off his retirement from the Ministry, but he knew as someone who was proficient at his job, no doubt the Ministry would call on him should they need him. "I say celebrations are in order; how about some Butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks? I wouldn't say no to a Fire Whiskey either."
