I hope you have a fun and art’s packed fall weekend in September!
What am I referring to you ask? Well let me list the ways:
Sep 19th: Colorfest Gallery Walk, Durango CO.
This year’s fall Gallery Walk will feature over 10 galleries who will remain open late (9pm-ish) to share in conversations, art viewing and collecting. There will also be a special performance of West African drumming by Akeem Ayanniyi at Barbara Conrad Gallery located at the Durango Arts Center. Come by the Open Shutter Gallery to give your greetings and share in some wine & antipasti.
***And a special note to Friday nigh, our very own director at Open Shutter Gallery, Margy Dudley, will have an opening at the DAC (Durango Arts Center), “Different Eyes”, featuring the paintings and sculptures of Susan & Jeff Wise and the photographs of Margy. Open reception from 5-7pm***
Sep 20-21: Durango Autumn Arts Festival
Saturday & Sunday 10am to 5pm. E 2nd. ave between College & 9th St.
Stop by Open Shutter gallery or the DAC to pick up a copy of the festival guide. This weekends festival will include 85 juried artist & fine crafts people, local music, and artisanal food & drink. Come see some of Durango’s finest visual and skilled craft workers put their wears on display. Get some early holiday shopping done while supporting our local community.
Autumn Arts Festival not enough?
Don’t forget the local farmers market that will be going till October 25th. Located in the parking lot of the First National Bank of Durango, 259 West 9th. street.
