From Orlando, producers Andrew Ramos and Ze' Brainchild have a project, titled Appetizers, due out next Wednesday (11/19). We're going to have to come to some sort of understanding with ourselves with how much we are going to allow ourselves because it's probably gonna get a lot more fun than real life is, right? The idea that improved technology is going to solve for the problems that technology has caused is a bit quixotic. For me, I understand that there's a certain amount of hope about the internet democratizing people and activating. The fact of the matter is it seems to me if you still have a nation of people sitting in front of screens pretending. You know, interacting with images rather than each other, feeling lonely so needing more and more images— you're gonna have the same basic problem. The better the images get, the more tempting it's going to be to interact with images rather than other people, the emptier it's gonna get.
