   She began humming under her breath, bobbing her head to the beat in her headphones with eyes closed, that is, until she walked right into something- or someone. Her eyes flew open and her posture immediately changed to that of someone jumping back and stumbling to the ground. “O- Ow...”

      “Take another step closer and you will get a knife in. your. THROAT.” She didn’t seem like she was in a good mood, especially with how hard she was gripping a stack of papers. It crinkled in ghostly white fingers and she immediately tore through them, shredding them in haste.

    “Try not to die, they said,” he whispered to himself, clicking his tongue. He rolled the blunt on his tongue, breathing in smoke with a heavy sigh. “Figures she’d send me to do their dirty work, as if I don’t have any work to do.”
