He rolled his shoulders back, feeling the stress of this week pooling together to form knots upon knots in his frame. Yeah, he knows it isn’t Keith’s fault for the sudden workload - it’s not like they can decline assignments forever and with how Delbar’s been ‘civil’ that’s just another reason to return to status quo - but if he could just drag Autumn’s ass back home then they could split the load evenly. Though, Vito understood that couldn’t be helped when it came to the bigger picture but damn, let him be angry.

Exhausted eyes glanced over to his emptied mug, somber. Nope. He was too sober to deal with the fatigue. “Mana?” he tried not to slur her name as best as his tired mind would let him. “Do you happen to serve coffee at this time too? I might need some of it in my next beer to wake me up.” Or maybe, he can go to sleep. Psh. Nah.

He’d heard good things about this place - Inauras - an establishment that accepted requests and sent one of their own to handle it. While he had other sources to assist in his personal endeavors, they were too involved with Athame to keep their mouths shut. Even Keith recommended that he outsource and go to a place outside of their Director’s jurisdiction (read: his loyal followers) and the boy never suggests the help of others outside his immediate contacts.

But it was now or never -- he’s left his relative alone long enough for her to fall into obscurity out of familial obligation, but his tolerance ran out. She had precious information Keith needed and Vito, well, he had some shit to say.

Approaching the counter to where he assumes is the place to make a request, he asked, “Is there anyone here who works in information related requests? I have a job.”

“Pancakes are a fine dinner option. Just order five stacks and call it a day.” Let him eat breakfast foods for dinner, please, tell his siblings to leave him be.

He was mentally checking off his to do list with his eyes sweeping across the waters. Qingce Village was incredibly...idyllic, to put it nicely, what with all these seniors ambling about. It felt like a place to retire when their life's been exhausted of work and pressure and they're idling by, enjoying the relaxation that was lost on them in their younger years.

He thinks, for a moment, that after his work is done and his family is content, maybe he'd make a life here. Though, he can see why a lot of people would depart to other places with how little happens in the village. The air was clean and crisp, and with how slow paced things were... Well, only those with ample time and world weariness would loiter and reside here.

And then his observations were met with an end as he turned away from the waters and to a woman of blond hair and wore what looked to be armor? Vito was unsure about this encounter - not that he did anything wrong - as Qingce Village hardly warranted enough activity to rouse trouble. Sure, there were treasure hunters that roamed about, but they were very good at keeping away.

"Oh, coffee..." He'd missed drinking that while on the job. Unfortunately there were few places that made them the way he liked it (so sickeningly sweet that his parents were wondering how his teeth hadn't rotted away yet) and he picked up the hobby of making it himself after a sufficient amount of jobs were completed. "Well, there's a tea shop, Pop's Tea, around here and you can ask for a strong black tea as a substitute."

It wasn't coffee, but close enough. Drink enough and it should suffice until she was well on her way to a more modern area with her wants.

"Are you-" He takes another look at the woman before him. She certainly didn't fit with the appearance of the village. Not like he could talk with his light armor and claymore resting on his back. "--here on a job?"

He stops short at the entrance of the clinic, door open, and is surprised to meet someone at almost the same height as him. The dual colored eyes reminded him of a friend and it was only the brunette hair that brought him back. Ah.

“Nessa?” Vito inquires aloud. Yeah, tall, heterochromatic eyes, and looks too healthy to be visiting a small time clinic. “Amelia’s actually taking a nap right now, but you can come in.” He steps aside to give her room. “She said you’re allowed to use the kitchen if you’re okay waiting for her to wake up.”

He gives a quick knock on the counter of the thrift store, giving it a cursory glance and taking note of the clothes that a friend of his would love to have. He makes a mental note to bring them over and let them roam while he talked with Audrey, or something. Vito wasn’t quite awake enough to plan ahead and, yes, it was nearly noon, and yes, he should’ve slept earlier, but that was besides the point.

“Hey, I made some coffee for you, thought you might need it,” he says and places down a green travel mug, topped with the lid, handle and all. “And, yeah, I made some snacks for you too since I had time.” And from his bag, he dug out a small container with two pieces of brownies. “I’m planning on doing a grocery run later, do you need anything? I can buy it for you since you’ve got to watch your shop.”

He drags his teaspoon in a circle, stirring the unhealthy amount of sugar in his second mug of coffee. Really, his work was going to be the death of him and even if there were fifty hours in a day, he’d still be exhausted. Even when he gets a day off like today, he still had shit to do.

Checking his watch, he wonders when his guild mate was going to show up. Any later and he’ll have to cancel. And he really didn’t want to. The days have been too hectic and he’d prefer having one conversation today that didn’t involve ‘so, were you able to dispose of the body?’ or ‘here are the reports of one of the scientists in the team’ because wow he was about to explode. Even then, unfortunately, he still had an appointment with a contractor.

Another glance at the time. Another sip of his coffee. Maybe they should’ve exchanged numbers and besides, Vito had a spare phone so it’d be fine sharing that dummy number with an outsider.
