3D printed. Open source. Openpupil.
Pupils can provide important neurological information that can aid in the diagnosis of a range of conditions, including aneurysms, impending strokes and tumors in the lung. Through the design and development of an open source Pupilometer, this project demonstrates how online file sharing platforms, distributed 3D printing services and online supply chains can be combined to manufacture and distribute inexpensive, open source alternatives to existing medical devices.
