Opera Celes WIP

One of the things I had wanted to do with Celes but knew I wouldn’t have time before Katsucon was add some seed beading. I had purchased these 11/0 czech beads from ebay and fell in love with the contrast of the copper and the copper lined design. Doing a 2n2 pair I put them along the scallop lines of the front panels of the dress so far. I’ve never done this kinda beadwork before but the entire process is just really relaxing for how time consuming it is. I’m actually incredibly hype to go home and continue. Now I just need to figure out where the fuk my bigger hoops are cause this little green one isn’t working for me lol.

Opera Celes WIP

Got most of the large embroidery frame done. My guess is since I’m almost 5 hours in on this one this will take me possibly 7-9 hours to do one of these frames (three times.) It’s a lot of work, yes, but it’s calming work and it gives just a nice pop to the scallop frames.

Did some more beadwork yesterday. I am also getting BETTER beading needles in the mail so that should really help with my speed. Cause my size 10s are like... 2″ long... Either way I’m really really really happy with how this is coming on the front panel. I should actually be able to get it done tonight depending on how scheduling things goes. (Ug I just wanna go home and sew now MRRR)

Opera Celes WIP

Last night I finished putting the dress together! I'm not wearing my heels or corset here so I'm a bit droopy, but overall it fits like a charm! I am so in love with the flow, but I def know I'll need a handler in this outfit. Today I aim to embellish as much as I can, and then get the final bows on it to call it done. I'm so fucking happy.

Would you believe that I did all of this embellishing in under 6 hours? I was amazed myself. The first pass was supposed to be a big chunk of the main decorations and the outside trim to at least set those pieces in place. (Also I hate setting the 3mm pearls so I just wanted to avoid that for now lol.) But its so fun to move the dress going ‘omg its so shiny watch it sparkle and its so 3d now ahhhhhh.’ There will be lots more beading and embellishing I wish to do as well with seed beads, but that will wait till post Katsucon when I can just sit and relax doing it.

Opera Celes WIP

On top of other things, I also finished up the rest of the embellishing I wanted to do before Katsucon. This included decorating the rest of my little fans all about the dress and getting the little dot pattern between my two ‘skirts.’ Before bed I also drafted out my bows for the dress and approx what size I’d like to have them on the dress. Countdown to con looking good! Too bad I’ve done like no work on my Sat panel lol.
