Definition
Assignment model is a special case of transportation model in which worker represent the source and jobs represents the destinations.

How to solve Assignment problems?
In original cost matrix, identify each row minimum and subtract with other entries of the row.
From the result of step 1, Identify column minimum and subtract with other entries of the column.
Identify the optimum solution as feasible assignment associated with zero elements of matrix in step 2(find 0 in the resulting matrix which is the solution)
If no feasible solution, then draw vertical and horizontal lines which cover all 0s in the reduced assignment matrix.
