朝日新聞の別刷りGLOBE（毎月第1日曜発行）の「World Outlook 今を読む」の連載イラスト4回目が本日掲載されました。 今回は俳優ダイアン･レインがアメリカ映画界における女性の立場について語っています。女性の社会進出が進んでいると思っていたアメリカにも色々な問題があること、そしてその変化が興味深かったです。

“Tank Your Lucky Stars” This week, as promised, @realdonaldtrump delivered on an Independence Day celebration of military might to rival Mao, Stalin, and Hitler. A clearer single propagandizing jingoistic event has yet to encapsulate so accurately just what this president values: pomp, circumstance, loyalty, and above all a spotlight in which he can play our “glorious leader.” Good ol’ President Bone Spurs was up to his old tricks, encouraging enlistment in the armed forces (“you should do it”), despite being a known draft-dodger and having said Vietnam was just too far away, mere weeks ago (with all the whiplash who can remember anything). Tanks from Georgia (the country) were shipped in just for the optics and to fulfill Trump’s big wish, not to mention to further destroy American infrastructure and roadways in D.C. @sethrogen who needs international incidents, when we’ve got our own totalitarian dictator here at home? “Truth Bomb” Despite efforts by Republicans to undermine Michael Cohen’s credibility, his testimony in front of the oversight committee was pretty damning (he basically corroborated everything we already knew).
