It always seemed that Jessamine and her twin sister were in competition with each other, though it was more one-sided than anything. Jessa’s sister, Juniper, was always the one that had to one-up the girl that was only a minute younger. Something about always grabbing the attention of others always appealed to Juniper but Jessa never quite understood it. If it were Jessa’s choice, she’d probably live under a rock. But seeing as that was more than impossible, she was stuck with the life she was handed.
It wasn’t until recently that Jessa started getting the attention of someone. Though unintentional at first, Juniper’s boyfriend had mistaken Jessa as such. And as wrong as it was, the poor girl actually enjoyed it. However, it took her months to finally muster up the courage to do something about it. So that was when she started tricking him into thinking she was her sister.
Juniper was at work pulling a double shift which was perfect since Jessa just got off work and was headed to their shared town house. She could already feel the butterflies as she anticipated that Nathaniel would be there waiting.
She quietly made her way into the front door, going straight to the kitchen to make herself an iced tea and grab a slice of leftover pizza that she immediately began to chow down on.
