(this fic takes place after a cars 2 rewrite au I’ve thought of) after the events of cars 2 mater and lightning are going through hell not only have the events of The WGP been shitty in general, there’s tension straining lightning and mater’s relationship, people are accusing mater of being a sncıde bomber because he’d been with the lemons at one point, and because mater and lightning are literally besties people are trying to smear lightnings reputation with that (dare I say Harv’s being petty and trying to worm his way back into his life). Not only that but Mater’s having to deal with C.H.R.O.M.E. on his ass about working with the lemons (not that he was condoning what they were doing more so he wanted to try and be Steven universe changing they mind ✌️ he also didn’t wanna get slimed) so there’s that.

Will Lightning and Mater ever properly communicate with each other and get their shit together or will they keep on having an unhealthy relationship and never move on?!

In my love for TinnGun, I dont think I have talked enough about how great of a character Sound is. He is the silent supporter of his band, and sometimes the only one with any brain cells. Hence why he is still questioning Tinn since Tinn really wouldn't have a reason to be on this trip if you take his relationship with Gun out of the equation. He is always so sure of how he needs to act and but this thing with Win is new. He doesn't know how to act. And he needs the support of the others through this. I'm glad Gun was able to provide that for him. But can we talk about how he didn't bat an eye or get made about Gun and Tinn. And he didn't run to tell everyone. I really think he would carry that with him forever if he needed to, and I love him for that.
