Hello, December! ❄️

And hello, friends!! I hope you’re all doing well and that the end of the year is kind to you. Because you fucking deserve kindness, goddamnit.

This is just a little check in/ life update post, so feel free to scroll on while I blab about where I’ve been:

Once again, as it does annually, November kicked my ass. A combination of tough anniversaries and family holiday gatherings always makes me feel like I’ve been through the emotional wringer. It’s not all bad, though! My husband’s birthday and our anniversary are also in November, so it’s part wringer, part rollercoaster I guess. Lows and highs.

Speaking of highs, I also challenged myself to take part in Novel November, with a goal of writing 50k words towards a novel, and I’m proud (and shocked!) to say that I completed it! Which means that I now have about 2/3 of a (messy) first draft of a novel. And I actually don’t hate it? Wild. Anywho, current plan is to use December/January to round that draft out and then start the editing process.

And just because dealing with an emotionally turbulent month and a crazy word count goal weren’t enough, we also (finally!!) found a new place to live after staying with family for far longer than we planned to, so for the last 3 days I’ve been moving and assembling furniture. We’ll be finished tomorrow and I cannot wait to settle in and make it Home.

Once that happens, I’ll get back to my normal shenanigans. I have … I think 10? More smooches to write (catch up on them here if you’re in the mood to smooch!) and then I’m gonna do my best to finish The Yule Lodge, because ‘tis the season and all that jazz.

I have seen them, but they're not really ShadowClan standard in the Iterum universe! The hag has kittypet blood making her look the way she does. A standard ShadowClan cat looks more like this:
