so idk if anyone outside of australia is aware but the marriage equality "postal survey” is coming up and i have just watched this ad on tv with the slogan “in countries with gay marriage, parents have lost their right to choose” and i’m just??? i’m sorry, what does this have to do with same-sex marriage??? what right do parents have to dictate their child, or any child’s, orientation??? i know some children identify early on in their life but that is their decision, that is their choice. it has nothing to do with the parent beyond their decision to support said child. and this ad has literally nothing to do with a same-sex couple’s right to marriage. am i missing something??? why do parents get a choice but their children, when they are old enough to pop the question, aren’t given the same option??? parents do not have a “right to choose” who their child falls in love with. that is the point of falling in love. if you are australian, and you follow me, and you support this bullshit of an ad, unfollow me right now.

some girl on the buss  called me a boy for a solid 5 minutes and i was very very very unbothered (my hair was under a hat, with a baggy letterman and painted nails shoved in pockets).

I told ateru this, and asked if he would be bothered if i was his boyfriend. he firmly told me he’d mind, only because he wasnt really into men, and wouldnt see me as a man due to my excessive femininity (as well as he wants to date me and he doesnt find men attractive).

so ive been in weird gender limbo where i dont...really care. i dont mind. but people do apparently. people can tell what gender they are based on like...feelings? people can turn off attraction to a gender that they dont like. ...how?
