Judging from 201 it sounds like they really are going down the route of both Maria and Alex being in love with Guerin as much as I hate Love Triangles I really wish one of them would talk more about it Tyler and Heather never speak about the Maria/Alex dynamic maybe because no one asks about it and for that matter neither does Carina maybe they will Retcon Alex and Maria ever being friends knowing this show and treat them as if they were strangers

Heather’s actually been asked about Maria and Alex at aTVfest, but she didn’t answer (it was part of a question about M/M and Alex & Maria, and she skipped answering the part about A & M). Which is kinda frustrating, I would’ve loved to get some input on that.

In the TV Fanatic interview at aTVfest, Carina said this about the triangle

“We didn’t want to write her [Maria] as a foil to someone else’s romance. She’s got her own story and her own, you know, complicated relationships with Michael and with Alex. And we really dug into that this season.”

Sounds like they’ll talk eventually, but there’s no indication as to how that talk will go, whether Maria will apologize (and therefore acknowledge that she did something wrong) or how Alex will react.

They don’t talk about it in 2x01, they don’t talk at all actually. There’s a 2 week time skip in 2x01, and during that entire time it doesn’t seem like Alex knows about the M/M kiss. It’s not mentioned at all.
