Can we just take a moment to appreciate all the people who write stories (of whatever genre) in English when it’s their second language? Like... that’s so awesome?! You know two languages well enough to write in both?! How about we support writers who do that instead of criticising them or being cruel? (It happens, I know it does, and it’s despicable).

English is such a tangle of stupid rule exceptions and nonsensical constructs, and people sculpt whole meaningful stories out of it when it’s not even their first language...?! I’m in awe.

The same goes for people who actively participate in and contribute to fandoms that are dominated by English speakers too... You’re all talented and awesome and also really brave!!
