Baphomet - often demonised for obvious reasons - is actually one of the great and ancient Alchemical Gods representing the presence of the Divine unified in all things. A God of synthesis and oneness he was said to have been worshipped by the Knights Templar and later used against them by the church during their inquisition and destruction. Djinn is the King of the Salamanders and guardian of the watchtower of the south in the magick circle. Fire is considered to be a capricious element, wild and difficult to tame, channel and manage - it requires great focus and statement of intent, however it is also a very powerful element that can offer courage, will, protection, passion, motivation and alchemy. The feminine quality of fire is surrender and it can teach us when to let go and release that which we have been holding onto - a hope, a dream, a desire - into the flames for transmutation.
