Well, I´m gonna start with this album, "Sacred Hearts Club" by Foster The People. I'm reeeeeaaaally fan of Mark Foster's band since Torches, but when Supermodel came out (not as good as their album debut but an underrated album tho) I stopped listening to them, a big mistake...I know. Well, July, 21st I knew that I had to do something important, something happened that day. I opened Spotify and I knew... new Foster The People album is out! and I pressed play obviously.
Since track 1, "Pay the man" I could feel the energy of this album and then "Doing for the money", "Sit next to me" and "SHC" it's like CCCCCOMBO BREAKER, what a combination!! Now I can't hear the album if I don't hear all the songs in order. First time I heard "Pay the man", the single I thought...finally foster the people has released new songs! and OMG the lyrics "But the wolf's not dead" "We hear the fire, we all go wild again" "Doing for the money" the OBVIOUS single, it's like..."Baby, we lost our minds" I really do. "It's time to leave the future with the past" "If we can dream then why are we wide awake?" "Sit next to me" love at the first heard. "I'll take you high" It reaaaaally takes me high. "SHC" the album title..."I wanna do it again" YES, listening to this over and over again. "I love my Friends" I thought "Sticky tune" not such a goooood lyric but it's a funny one... "we're a disaster, yeah you know it's true!" "Orange Dreams" it's the perfect instrumental/something interlude in the middle of the album. "Static Space Lover" it's one of my favorites lyrics..."Well, don't float too far, cause I won't live without your constellation" WOW it really gets me, in a good way. "Lotus Eater" it's the happy song of the album, feeling like summer..."I'm sorry I was late, I didn't wanna come" "Time to get closer" we can appreciate that Mark's voice it's beautiful, just that. "Loyal like Sid and Nancy" OMG, I can't hear this song without dancing, it's a powerful one, the beats after "Hey man get away from me" This track puts me in another dimension, another state ... "why are we so far from love?" "Harden the paint" a quiet/not quiet song "I'll fall into you and you're given to me" "Face your fate you pretty faker" "III" perfect ending for a perfect album. "Saaaaaail on it, beautiful it's your life" YES, beautiful it's my life with music like this. Thanks to this album to make my days happier.
Amazing lyrics, danceable tunes...what else does this album need? it's perfection. My album of the year, 10/10.
