You had to see it to believe it. As awful as the Grand Line is, there's more promise for blood here than anywhere else. East Blue can't even hold a candle to all the fights you've seen, not even a week into it. Honestly it gets you excited in a few ways. 

There are, at present, three slashes across your chest -- barring, of course, the scar that Mihawk gave you -- and three more at your left hip and one at your cheek. The ones on your chest are the worst of it, deep and still open, most of the bleeding having stopped already. Nearly horizontal, longer than they are deep, just shy of the dip and curve of your collarbones. They'll scar nicely.

It had been some tool with claw-like weapons on his hands, brandishing them and hissing like a fucking cat. More trouble than he was worth.

You took his head from his shoulders and you and kicked it like a ball and you laughed.

That alone made his nakama run.

You're stuck back in the kitchen on the Merry with the navigator. You had lost the most blood out of the five of you in the fight, because you always do.

"We really need a doctor." you mumble, casually, taking a deep swig of the rum on the table. It might be what she intends to use as disinfectant; you're not really sure. Seated on the table, your head's been swimming ever since you got back on the damn ship. Whether its from blood loss or drinking rum on an empty stomach ... Well, you're not sure about that, either.

You think that, even though she calls you dumb and picks on you, Nami is a good person to talk to about these kinds of things. You have to talk about it sometime, really ... Even if its not with Sanji. Yet. So you sit across from her, on the floor on her bedroom, gently taking her hands in yours.

It feels like a fucking marriage proposal, but you just like the feel of her, like that. You press on her knuckles in sequence and feel a little calmer about it. You bet that she's confused and maybe a little anxious at your silence, but still your mouth stays closed for minutes more.

"So I made out with Sanji."

Its best to just be direct, sometimes.

better than having to struggle through writing them though, right? :P

Arguably, yes, but it feels like more responsibility. And responsibility for others, not just my own ability to sink or swim.

You're right, though, it's probably silly to complain about this.
