This delicious recipe for Paleo Glazed Orange and Honey Ham creates a flavorful glaze for your ham by combining the natural sweetness of fresh orange juice and raw honey with savory spices. This recipe is dairy-free, paleo-friendly, and ideal for special events or holiday get-togethers.
Ingredients: 1 bone-in ham approximately 5-6 pounds. 3/4 cup fresh orange juice. 1/4 cup raw honey. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves. Salt and pepper to taste. Orange zest from one orange. Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish optional.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 325F 163C. Place the ham in a large roasting pan with the cut side down. In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh orange juice, raw honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, salt, and pepper. Pour the orange glaze over the ham, making sure it's evenly coated. Sprinkle the orange zest over the ham for an extra burst of flavor. Cover the ham with aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 140F 60C. This should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for a 5-6 pound ham. Every 30 minutes, baste the ham with the pan juices to keep it moist and flavorful. Once the ham is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs if desired. Slice and serve your delicious Paleo Glazed Orange and Honey Ham.
