NCAA 4 miler was a fun run. Yes it was hot and YES I absolutely hate running Allen Parkway, however I’m so grateful to do my intervals and complete this race. After reading a book that Nick Waak let me borrow, I have a whole new perspective on running and racing. Yes I have a hip injury and yes a hip replacement is in my near future and yes I hope I can put it off for 3 more years with these alternative procedures but in the meantime I’m going to enjoy what I love to the fullest!! I’m no longer a consistent runner. My speed has not come back and not sure if it will but honestly I don’t care. Any day I can get up and do some type of workout whether it be running, walking or weights, is a very good day! The weather was amazing this morning and I got in 6.74 miles. Now off to do my first of two volunteer events. Nothing like getting in 4 miles at 4:45am. Weather was nice. I did 2.50 miles running(ish) and 1.50 miles walking. Hip is still holding up praise Yah.
