About Hogwarts House Personality Assumptions...
Lemme be real with you for a hot second.
- I got sorted into Hufflepuff. I have crazy anger problems. I am a huge asshole to even the people I care deeply about. I am also one of the more intelligent people in my group of friends (and so modest!). Hufflepuff isn't synonymous with being dumb, a pushover, passive, or lesser.
- My friend Jon was sorted into Gryffindor. He's suffering from depression. He can't stand up for himself, no matter what the reason for it may be, and not even in a Neville way where "he can when it counts", he just can't. He is incredibly jaded, and can easily ignore the suffering of others. Gryffindor isn't synonymous with being a hero, caring, successful, or better
- orangewholius was sorted into Ravenclaw. Her sense of humor is TOPS. She is one of the most violently passionate people I have ever met. She could sell a can of Starkist to a tuna fisherman, then turn the profits into double whatever she made some-crazy-how just fucking because. Ravenclaw isn't synonymous with being a loner, judgemental, success-crazed, or buried in books.
- caligulette was sorted into Slytherin. She is a gorgeous flower-princess. She is sweeter than sugar to strangers and loved ones, and twice as strong as steel no matter what happens to her. She cares about the things that you get made fun of for caring about and doesn't give two fucks what you think. Slytherin isn't synonymous with being cruel, out for yourself, deceptive, or just plain bad.
For all the talk about not judging that swirls around here on tumblr, it kinda weirds me out how biased we can get when it comes to which house we belong to.
