okay hold on Trepang2 thoughts again...and a not so common occurrence: me actually paying attention to the soundtrack while I Kill
Because, see. Cave Party is so so fun. Listen to that intro.
But-- It's the 6-3. This is where you slaughter the last of their forces. This is where you put down the people you were sent to save; after pushing them to defect, after slaughtering the wounded.
And Cave Party is so high energy, and everytime I play through this section I have to stop and head bop and grin while I mag-dump into their heads. In another game, the soundtrack for a scene where you slaughter your own men would be... well, something else completely.
Then I remember that 106 is genetically engineered to get dopamine highs off of inflicting violence.
But the end scene.
What an existence.
edit: dragging this out of the tags actually i think im onto something
is it like addiction? is violence the *only* way for him to feel alive? did they make him that way? or did his brain naturally build a resistance to anything of a lower dose? does he crash after the highs? how heavy did he feel sitting there. thinking about what he did and how it *felt* and now its gone?
Was it a crash, or regret, or both as he sat there waiting for Raven in the aftermath? How does it feel, in those lulls between missions? Itching for a trigger, itching for the violence, for anything to bleed? Were these actions trained and blind obedience or only to feel alive again? Or was the obedience first, and the high a failsafe? To ensure it can never live outside?
OC talk, because fuck you, they're precious.
Decided to do some doodles for one of my characters Xiamei, (or just Mei)
I've been mulling on this comic idea for a while with her and a 3 others (which I have all drawn) living in a Scott pilgrim type world, where things just exist and happen. So she's a highschooler who was born from a priest father and knight mother making her a paladin.
Concepts of her paladin outfit on the way, but the story is following the group of friends handling being teens with a lot of weird shenanigans and musically based monster references, ala JJBA style, and coming to terms with their feelings for each other.
To actually talk about Mei, she's the very extroverted and fashionable of the group, very energetic, seemingly knowing just about everyone. In the group of 4 though, she tends to reign in the others out there plans and ideas as a sort of straight man. (Though that's mostly done by another character)
She has an older brother, who only inherited being a priest, and is at the start of the story first year of college, and somewhat protective of his little sister. Which has caused conflict between them, since she's more than capable of handling herself now that she's in high school.
Edit: I did forget, the characters for this story do have a 'color' they're associated with, just conceptually as a representation of their personality, Xiamei is yellow, bright and shining, to represent her energetic and personable nature.
God bless these gorillaz fans. Murdoc admits somewhat to feelings and all the citizens hungry for some sort of major character analysis or development come crashing into action. Gorillaz please, please give these fans some food. Throw them a real emotional bone. Make them a nice major plot dinner. They are cold mongrels let them in
we have crafted an image meant to cause maximum pain to people in a specific demographic
maybe we need a big sign over our blog that says warning will start thinking about the kingdom hearts mobile games at any minute. because it's always there. in the back of our mind
today we are thinking about ventus kingdom hearts and his keyblade. no not that one. his *original* keyblade. auauagh..........................
the idea of patching Blood Meridian, the Hell letter (Ultrakill), and the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant warning message has been messing with my head for too long. It wants to worm its way into a much larger "patchwork poem" (not sure what they're called but i like this title) i've been stewing on, but it finally possessed me to stitch these three together, so ^ here's badly done concept pieces
