We are creating a cage of debris around our own planet. 🛰️🚧
The Problem: Every spent rocket stage and broken satellite stays in orbit for decades. The "Kessler Syndrome" suggests that one collision could create a cloud of debris so thick it makes space travel impossible for generations.
The Solution: Predictive Data Modeling. By ingestion of Two-Line Element (TLE) sets and using SGP4 propagation algorithms, we can visualize current debris density and predict "conjunction events" where satellites are at risk.
The Data of Debris: 🛰️ Cataloging 30,000+ tracked objects in Low Earth Orbit. 💥 Analyzing the kinetic energy of a 1cm bolt traveling at orbital speeds. 📈 Modeling the exponential growth of debris after collision events. 🌍 Visualizing the most congested orbital shells.
If we don't manage the data, we won't be able to manage the sky. 🚀
