Finished putting all of my Orchids outside today! Conclusion: I have too many.

I got them from all the windowsills in the house; seeing them all in one place, its a lot.

Some are still blooming too!

Some of the orchids and other plants that I saw at Kew Gardens today. This was probably one of the best orchid festivals yet!

The selection in the Victoria Gate shop is also the best that I’ve seen. They even had small Vanilla orchids for sale at £30.00 each. I would have bought a Brassavola nodosa, but they were £47.00. The plants are quite expensive, but they are all in excellent condition.

By Kew pricing standards, my Vanilla orchid is probably about £100.00+ o.O

No but really, there's just something about the unique, delicate beauty of orchids, their contradictory hardy nature, and their refusal to settle for anything but the best, which draws you to them.
