Folk dekadent

Nyttemmin konkurssiin ajettu Cold Meat Industry oli etenkin 90-luvulla uuden synkän Ruotsalaisen industrial saundin lanseeraaja. Lafkalta löytyi niin karummat ja meluisat tekijät (Brighter Death Now, Proiek Hat,..) kuin synkät dark ambient ja "neo-klassista"/martial industrialia edustavat tekijät. Yksi suurta huomiota niittäneistä projekteista oli ORDO EQUILIBRIO. Thomas oli toinen ...jäsen erinomaisessa rituaali-industrial bändissä nimeltä ARCHON SATANI (suositeltavia etenkin Virgin Birth ja Of Gospels Lost And Forsaken tupla CD antologia varhaisista ruttoisista suhinoista ja kolinoista). Erottuaan bändistä Thomas perusti Ordo Equilibrion ja mielestäni Ordo Equilibrion "Reaping the fallen the first harvest" on edelleen bändin paras kappale, sekä levy. Ikävä kyllä levyn painos lienee loppu ja sitä ei enää uutena ole Sarvessa myynnissä. Kaksi muuta albumia saa CD formaatissa. 1999 jälkeen bändi muutti nimekseen Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio. Kolmen ekan albumin aikana tyyli oli vielä tuore ja luova ja mielestäni jossain välissä se alkoi hieman liikaa vakiintua saman toistoon. Varsinaisia huonoja levyjä tuskin on, mutta isoin luova into ja muutosvoima tuntui jo 90-luvun loppuun mennessä loiventuvan. Ordo Equilibrion tyyli yhdistää gootti henkistä erotiikkaa, dekadentteja teemoja ja synkkiä teemoja siirtää bändin tavallaan erilleen traditionaalisista neo-folk bändeistä. Vaikka akustinen kitara, monotoninen laulu ja yksinkertainen perkussio pohjalta toimivat kappaleet uppoaa varmasti neo-folk yleisöön, tietty esteettinen & ideologinen ero on nähtävissä monilla levyillä. Etenkin ensimmäisellä levyllä industrial musiikin perinteet on vielä vahvasti läsnä. Sarvessa on myös jokunen Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio CD ja vinyyli ja Cold Meat kamaa muutenkin oma osastonsa muun industrial/ambient/noise levyjen joukossa.
