Reading through your profile pages just reaffirms how awesome the human spirit is. So many uplifting, inspiring and fascinating stories are being shared that we feel compelled to highlight a few with you.
Finishing what I started
"I'm running because I injured myself training for the 2013 Boston marathon, but decided to start the race anyway and see how far I would make it. I was projected to finish under the 6 hour time limit, despite my injuries. I did not run again until I ran the first One Run For Boston, which consisted of the last chunk of the marathon that I wasn't able to finish. So although my first Boston marathon was run in 2 chunks, the ORFB gave me the chance to cross the finish line and all the runners before me were there cheering me on and welcoming me across the finish line. That's an experience I will never forget."

The road towards healing
"I'll never forget April 15, 2013. I'll never forget April 19, 2013. But through ORFB last summer, I was able to leave the ugliness those days created behind. I'm running ORFB II because I believe in the powerful impact a community of goodhearted, energetic, positive people can have. I saw how it healed me. I know it healed others. And in the midst of all that healing, we raised $91,000 for the One Fund. ORFB II, I know, will far surpass that total. And in doing so, perhaps we'll make the road toward healing a little bit easier for the victims of the bombings."

An inspirational mother
"I'm running because I ran with this amazing group last year and it helped me to refocus and reinvigorate my running goals. I can't wait to try this again, remembering why we are all running in the first place (no matter what happens in life, run on), and this year's challenge will be running 4 weeks after baby Weeks is due (early or on time is now a necessity!)."
Laura Weeks - Stage 329, Massachusetts
It has been a brilliant weekend. To start your week off feeling uplifted we'll leave you with this beautiful quote from Tracy Brady, stage 206 Missouri:
"We may all have struggles in our lives but together we can overcome anything. We may not have worn the same shoes with our struggles, however, in this race our shoes will run for the same purpose. Be Strong."
