BIG HEALTHY FOOD DELIVERY - with a little niggle
Is it sad that I'm excited for my big-ass food delivery today? Tons of fruit and veggies coming my way. I'm working all weekend so in the evenings, I'm hoping to cook up a storm - smoothies, soups and dishes to pop in the freezer so that I can actually eat some nice home-cooked meals whenever I want!
Niggle
I don't even know if this can count as a niggle, but I've always been one for going to the market and buying as fresh and as organic as I possible can. At the moment, time-wise and money-wise, it's just impossible for me. Also, I'm out and about so much that I never get time to actually eat 75% of the veg/fruit that I buy, so it lingers in the bottom drawers of the fridge going mouldy.
I've succumbed and for the first time ever, I've bought some frozen veg and fruit so that I can toss them in some hot water and have them ready. I don't know how I feel about this though. I figured it would save me money in the short-term because I won't be wasting so much food and I will always have food in the house so I don't have an excuse to 'take a walk to KFC, but it's okay because I'm walking there and back.'
I figured that frozen fruits and veggies aren't as good for your body as organic or fresh but it's a damn sight better than a burger from McDonalds, so it's mini swings and massive roundabouts I suppose.
