Der Kölner Künstler Moglii feiert mit "Flow" sein Debüt auf Humming Records

Moglii präsentiert mit seiner neuen Single “Flow“ sein Debüt auf Humming Records und zeitgleich einen energetischen Popsong. Eine Liebeserklärung an die Weite des Meeres und den Flow im Augenblick.

Cover Tarik Badaoui Nach Veröffentlichung der gemeinsamen “Down Under“ EP mit Sängerin Novaa im Jahr 2016, schaffte es die Single “Mother“ auf Platz 2 der Spotify Global Viral Charts. Im Jahr darauf setzte Moglii mit Release seiner Debüt EP “Naboo“ über Majestic Casual Records den erfolgreichen Startschuss für seine Solo-Karriere. Es folgten mehrere Platzierungen in den Top10 der HypeMachine Charts, über 20 Millionen Streams to date, Live Performances im Vorprogramm von Roosevelt, OK Kid und Goldroger sowie Festival Auftritte beim The Great Escape Festival, Reeperbahn Festival, Dockville Festival uvm. Hinter dem Künstler Moglii steckt der in Köln lebende Produzent, Songwriter und studierte Jazzpianist Simon Ebener-Holscher. Mit einer enormen Liebe zum Detail erschafft er sein eigenes Genre – “organic electronic”. Damit präsentiert er einen modernen Mix aus warmen Beats, analogen Synthesizern und souligen Vocal Samples. Neben akustischen Instrumenten (Violine, Saxophon, Posaune usw.) und den besonderen Sound-Scapes (Field-Recording, Naturklänge usw.) findet zunehmend auch die eigene Stimme Platz in seinen Tracks – Futuristische Popmusik beeinflusst von Künstlern wie Mura Masa, James Blake oder Bon Iver. Mit seiner neuen Single “Flow“, einer „Liebeserklärung an die Weite des Meeres, den Flow im Augenblick und die Seele eines besonderen Menschen“, so sagt er selbst, kehrt Moglii nun zurück und präsentiert einen treibenden Popsong. Das Sounddesign ist geprägt von Meeresrauschen, Delphinen und Sonne. Glitzer-Klänge und schimmrige Soundflächen treffen auf klaren Gesang und einprägsame Vocalchops . In der Hook fokussiert sich das energetische Gefühl von Gelassenheit und Kraft. Tiefe 808-Basstöne und die mächtigen Chords des Prophet 08 Synthesizers stehen für Rausch und Wärme. “Den Song “Flow” habe ich vor 2 Jahren auf einer sehr prägenden Reise nach Teneriffa geschrieben. Die Tage waren wie aus der Zeit gefallen. Wir haben mitten in der Natur gelebt und sind jeden Morgen am Meer aufgewacht. Dort habe ich mich auch neu verliebt. Diesen Flow, den ich dort mit diesem Mädchen erlebte, habe ich anschließend in einen Song gepackt. Re a l m was written and recorded in a condo next to a small, spring-fed lake near the Great Salt Lake. With its tall ceilings and giant windows surrounded by a canopy of trees filled with the chatter of birds, this condo has served as a reclusive place for a musical process of experimentation and self-reflection. While living in this oasis of self discovery, I had faced many complex emotions brought upon by experiences that up to date have been the most peaceful times of acceptance, to the most agonizing moments of despair that I thought would never end. Trying to interpret these inner emotions involved many long hours spent observing the still scenery through the windows, walks to the lake, listening to the occasional rain falling through the leaves and laying on a hammock for probably what would be considered a little too long for anything productive. Among a few other things involving stillness and pondering, I was led to read a book given to me from the parents of a very close friend. 'As a Man Thinketh' by James Allen had begun to reshape everything I had ever believed about life and myself as a member of the Human Race. The message found in his book was essential to conceptualizing the ideas and purpose of R e a l m and bears a huge influence on the shaping of the musical writing process of this album. Though realizing R e a l m had mostly been a project of experimentation, the emotions woven into each track are extremely real and personal. It is my first collection of songs under this identity of Canopy Canvas, and hopefully the first step of an amazing journey. <3
