🌕Happy super wolf moon and Happy new year! Moon made with organic indigo. I anticipated for dark intense shades of indigo by layering the colors. Instead, indigo gave me this rich lighter side of gentle indigo shades that is almost silver from different lights and grows in the dark just like the moon and glows in me. She knew what the color of the moon should be and It is perfect. . . Organic indigo dye was different from the chemical indigo kit that you can get the dark blue with one dip. Fabric needs to dip multiple times to get deeper color of blue. Layering of the color makes the blue even deeper and meaningful. It is the fermentation process of the vat so it is like having a conversation with indigo for what's right or not and that’s the beauty of it. There are so much stories behind this Indigo blue in many different cultures. I want to work with organic indigo more and be her best friend. Another beauty of the organic indigo process is that it forms the part of ecosystem. The waste waters provides the nutritions for microorganism. It questions me about the quick convenience we create by using harmful chemicals in our life. Do we forget to appreciate things because it is quickly done? Do we forget the story of each colors and where it comes from? Do we forget what our ancestors thought through for this beauty that provides us and ecosystem in circle? Do we forget that all the chemical we drain and breath all comes back to us? Do we forget that we roll the big part of ecosystem? Under this first Full Moon of this year on the 1st day of the year, can you have a gratitude and add another intention of how you can collaborate and learn from other living organisms to make this community, "Earth" a better future land by making conscious action? . .
