I remember this chick once, she got upset at me for wanting to get into the Persona fandom because Yosuke makes a homophobic comment and Naoto's existence is apparently a "fuck you" to the transmasc community??

And it just dawned on me that she was raised on 2000s anime? Like me? We've all watched the same shows here right? And you're getting irritated about Japanese conservatism (*cough* imported by the West*cough*) now? At this point, it's useless to make a fuss about former writing decisions & hesitations. Persona 4 has definitely made its money and I can assure you it's not because of the homophobia.

Ig the point of this rant is that media consumers should worry about creating a repetitive cycle of poor representation of marginalised groups. In a rational way and not in a #twitteractivism way
