Yui Kanda, a Visiting Graduate Student Researcher from Tokyo University, has been busy photographing images of ancient oriental carpets. She told us that she was initially interested in decorative patters on ceramic vases, but gradually her interests moved towards oriental carpets.
Yui has been visiting the Special Collections Study Room often since last semester, but she will be returning to Japan this week.
Best of luck with your research, Yui!
