Hi! Can I request a Narnia armor? So my favorite colors are red, dark green, and dark purple (you can chose what combo you want to use). I love daggers and archery. I wouldn’t really like metal armor I’d rather have more mobility. I guess it’s like a mix of a wood elf and pirate? And I know this isn’t exactly part of the armor but could you draw a necklace with it? It’s a light brown rope with a small black orb that has a small star inside (like if you took a piece of the night sky and put it on a necklace). I have one that looks like that and I like to pretend that Caspian gave it to me lol
Thank you!! (I didn’t know how many specifics you wanted so I hope this is good)
So to start off on the “undergarments”. You have a linen shirt that’s dyed a dark green. Linen is very breathable, it absorbs moisture but not smells! It’s also great at regulating temperature. (Plus they have a slight poof for some pirate flair.) With the shirt is the green sort of flap things. I’m not really sure what they’re called but I saw it come up a lot when looking at wood elf art. I’m pretty sure this is also common in Asian dress although I’m not sure which country or if I’m even correct. (If anyone knows please inform me!) The pants are also a dyed linen, and the dark brown will help hide the inevitable stains. It’s a pretty reliable material so it’ll hold up.
Now for the outermost layers! To start off we’ve got red leather stays. (Stays were the predecessors to the corset. I went for just a general 18th century shape) I figured that leather stays would give both enough protection, and mobility while also supporting the girls. Plus I after some research I found some historical precedence which was awesome. On top of that is a separate piece to protect the chest. It’s also leather but it has an additional panel covering the heart and the surrounding areas. Ok top of that are removable shoulder pad things. They attach to the separate chest piece. I figured having them detachable would be helpful for archery. You can pick and choose your mobility and protection this way. Then there are just some simple leather boots, they go to a little above the mod calf, they’re pretty tight, which probably isn’t possible, or comfortable but fashion is important too! Plus you’ve got your necklace, which was surprisingly hard to draw, but is also very pretty!
I really hope you like your armor! But I do have to apologize for my terrible explanation! I don’t know the names of armor parts or historical dress outside of Europe (mainly England and France) but I do really want to learn!
