There is a growing call among the people of Antares for the Federation and Starfleet to leave their world, which is home the Deep Space Area Command, the largest of all operational commands. Jamie ‘Croft’ Blackthorne is assigned to find the root cause of the movement, as some suspect that there may be Klingon separatist involvement.
Croft will look to the past, in the time of Christopher Pike’s Enterprise, when the base was established. There is strong evidence that there is internal Federation involvement as well, as he tries to learn what the new Deputy Federation Security Advisor’s angle is. He will be aided in his search for answers by Chandra’s crew of the Yorktown as well.
The road may lead him to doors that no one in the Federation wants opened.
