NaNoWriMo Excerpt

It felt like she was spinning in circles. And her neck was hurting from looking up. "You're just going to keep asking me questions, aren't you?" She asked helplessly.

"Is that what it seems like?" He replied, smile widening.

May glared at him with all the force she could muster.

"I know you followed me around in the bookstore, at least. So if you are the same person from before, then that would mean you were probably following me around then, too. And that is suspicious."

"Very."

"So I should be asking questions."

"Certainly."

She stuck her hands in her pockets and waited.

"You should ask questions when someone follows you," the boy said. "Tragically, the person following you is not obligated to answer those questions."

She blew out a long sigh. "This is... frustrating."

"Terribly."

"Can I ask why you were following me?"

The redhead nodded. "You can."

"Why were you following me?"

"Why do you think I'm going to answer?"

"Because you said—" she stopped, realizing. "Well that was rude."
