Internal/External Fructisis
The disease I have created is a fruit gore type disease called “Fructisis”. It has two versions: internal, and external.
TRANSMISSION:
External: if you eat an infected fruit and don’t get the toxin out in time, you are infected
Internal: if fruit juice from somebody with the external disease gets in your system, you are infected
SYMPTOMS:
External: fruit growths all over your body. These can cause pain, uncomfort, and can possibly be fatal if growing in certain areas and left untreated
Internal: body weakens a lot, blood turns into the juice of a specific fruit, eye color and some hair strands become the color of said fruit juice, in later stages body will be completely made up of one kind of fruit, this making the infected highly prone to injury as well as the chance of much weaker areas potentially falling off as the fruit may not be able to hold you together fully.
CURE:
Best Cure: the cure is like an anti-venom. You must find a FRESH fruit with the disease inside. As it is hard to identify diseased fruits when the fruit is still fresh, as well as most fruits that carry it are too small to cure even one person with one fruit, the cure is quite “rare”
Alternative: as most fruits cannot survive in cold conditions, cryotherapy is an option to try and cure this disease. HOWEVER, this may in fact kill the host as well if they are too “fruitified”, and is therefore a risky attempt and not really recommend
