Today’s episode of MLP (about food and restaurants) made me wanna draw Garbonzo as a grown up. In case you don’t know, this is Garb, with his sister, my OC Chickpea:

As a colt he was a special-needs pony, and the pony who helped Chickpea realize she wanted to be a teacher.

Garb, in turn, found his calling in eating and tasting food.

As an adult, Garb is a food critic who doesn’t review restaurants as ‘bad’ or ‘good,’ per se. He will say what he enjoyed about each establishment and its dishes, and offer his opinion on how to improve on things he didn’t quite enjoy. He admits his views are subjective. And at the end, gives each restaurant ‘The Garbonzo Gold Stars of Approval’.
