Art/ Craft Themed Precure

I’m on a Precure kick since Healin’ Good Precure started airing this year. I’m using my time at home to finally watch all of the ones that I haven’t seen before like Suite Precure and Fresh Precure. 

But all that cramming has my brain running. 

I’m making a team of Cures! I designed them on dolldivine.com. It’s an older dress-up game but I still have fun with it.

Cure Prism- The leader of the Cures. Prism is a newbie when it comes to painting, but she’s determined to learn and to bring light into the world through her artwork- just like her Uncle who she adored more than anything. It is through one of his paintings that Palette arrives in her world, looking for the Cures to stop the Inkys from ripping the light out of any and all creative works. Having grown-up watching Magical Girl shows, Prism had no problem jumping right in to the role; there are times, however, when she doesn’t feel like she has the confidence to keep going as the leader of the Cures. 

Cure  Appliqué-  Appliqué is the second Cure. She just transferred into Prism’s school but has shown off a lot of heart- both on the tennis court and off in the sewing room.  Appliqué dreams of one day opening her own fashion line on the biggest runways in the World. She befriends Prism pretty quickly since they were partnered in PE and Prism showed signs of needing a LOT of help with tennis. Together, they form the Arts and Crafts Club- a club dedicated to creating anything to help shine the light of creativity on the world as well as find any remaining Cures who can help stop the Inkys!

Cure Shell- Sassy, quick-witted, and a bit of a loner, Shell will be the first one to let you know you’re out of line. Despite her pretty direct way of talking, Shell will be the first one to jump to help when there’s a person in need. She spends a lot of her time working with crocheting- a craft that she learned from her mother when she was very young. Shell enjoys making toys in a style of crocheting called Amigurumi that she then donates to local hospitals. Shell and Prism did not really speak to each other despite having gone to school together since elementary. However, wanting to join the Arts and Crafts club was a priority for Shell since she wanted a place to do some crocheting at school without being scolded by teachers.

I’m planning on making at least one, if not two, more Cures to go with these girls. I might sketch out ideas for badies and draw up what I would like the Inkys to look like. ^^

I will be drawing their civilian form next, then i will probably stop talking about my precure oc for a while XD

Her cure catchphrase is “夜空に輝く優しい光　輝け　時を超える愛の星” (The gentle light among the night skies. Shine! The star of timeless love!)

She’s supposed to be the rougher of the two, more sporty and prone to fights.

I might change her name to Cure Sparkle but .... I will see

I feel like I keep talking about her but... I finally got to sit down and actually draw and color her.

Meet my precure oc.... Cure Starlight (not very original I know). I designed her back in 2012 when Suite / Smile was airing.

She... looks like an idol more than anything XD.......

Anyway, I had a constellation / wishing star theme with her and her team.

Her civilian name is Hoshino Kanae

Her cure catchphrase is “夜空に輝く強い光　輝け　願いを叶える希望の星” (The blinding light among the night skies. Shine! The star who grants wishes!)

Her duo partner is Cure Twinkle. Cure Galaxy and Cure Zenith are the 3rd and 4th (they are twins), then there’s also Stella the mascot

If I get the time I will draw the other members as well...

I might revamp / change some settings as Cure Twinkle is a taken name after Go Princess appeared.

Civilian forms of Hoshino Kanae and Tokio Michiru. 

Their transformation items, Holo-pact (Horo-pact) and Holo-crystal (Horo-crystal). (It’s a pun name)

They are both 13! Both trouble-makers in their own way. 

Michiru (yellow) is a sporty girl who gets in fight a lot due to her bold personality. Her and Kanae are childhood friends. 

Kanae (pink) is more naive and creative; she tries to overcome her spoiled nature after elementary school, so she’s trying to learn how to take care of other people but often fails in doing so. 

That’s it! There’s the two additional cures I have to draw but that’s enough for now! 😂

My oc Precures...

I’ve been really shy about my original Precures.

I designed them back in 2012...and I just decided to just draw them out because... why not!?

So my original Precures are themed along wishing-upon-the-stars.

Their taglines and design motifs are designed after wishes and stars. Their form / attacks come from the 12 constellations (each cure gets 3).

The main (pink / red) cure is Cure Starlight, and the second cure (Yellow) is Cure Twinkle. ( I know there’s a name conflict of an existing cure but Cure Twinkle didn’t exist back then :/ )

Their power-up forms are called “Wish Maidens”

The 3rd and the 4th cures are twins, I might draw them in the future but....

I would revamp them since they start to really look like the new existing cures...
