More of a rant then a confession. I have had nothing but headaches since going legit. When I ordered my 1st doll I was told it would be about a 3 month wait, it's been close to 9 months and the established legit dealer hasn't answered any of my emails. I ordered from another dealer inquiring the shipping, while they answered me tartly as if I was buying the doll I should worry about shipping. My last doll came wedged in a box with broken Styrofoam. Recast dealers always answered me back. :(

Most expensive legit companies have bad costumer service, also, most well known dealers. The best costumer service and shipping times I’ve experience buying legits come from the cheapest companies (like Resinsoul). And if you own a “cheap legit” (or a “beginners doll”), elitist will ignore you to death, so top bottom, you need to buy the dolls you like just because you like them. If you like legits, I had waiting times over 14 months on some dolls (and not even using dealers but straight from the company website), and very little to no communication at all about it from the company, so I suppose 9 months it’s reasonable for some companies? Still sorry to hear this anon, I know how it feels like :(

Well, have my first recast doll, and I love making clothes for her, waiting for a wig for her, and some gorgeous eyes from a UK etsy vendor. Possibly she's not as perfect as the doll she was copied from, but without seeing them side by side, I cannot tell. I've done her faceup, and I'm working on learning sueding to make her joints snugger. All I know is I'm very fond of her, and I could never afford the $600+ for the original!

Anon, we didn’t received your confession before, we have some lag but I double checked and there is no confession even similar to this. Sorry, sometimes Tumblr eats things, and this is a real issue.

My girl needs a new body, and a part of me wants to buy a recast and just not say anything. Her head is legit, so what's the problem if I want to buy a body that isn't a million dollars? Hell, I bought her a cheap legit body and I hate it!!!

I really don’t understand the argument that if someone owns a recast then they’re not good enough to own a legit doll. Why? Isn’t antis point to encourage everyone to buy originals? Why would you tell someone that they don’t deserve legit dolls if they’ve previously owned or have a recast? It’s such a backwards argument.
