4. ambush

You'd think living with a shapeshifter would be fun.

It is, occasionally. But it's hard to get used to it when the shapeshifter is a fun-loving trickster who likes to randomly stand in hallways and wait. It's hard to get used to a bear in your hallway. When you think you got used to a bear, there's a wolf in the kitchen, baring its teeth at you. When you as much as flinch, the scariest wolf in your life dissolves into garbling coughing giggle sounds as the shapeshifter goes back to their human form. You just wanted a sandwich, for god's sake. And they keep doing this for their own amusement - waiting for their roommates to turn on the lights and see a giant bat on the sofa. At least there's an unanimous ban on using spider forms.

Living with a shapeshifter is fun when you do get used to it. You get to drink tea with a bear, a python and a water elemental (looks hilarious). You just need to survive long enough to get there.

Kokuto likes to glomp people from behind, usually flying up close from the back and surprising them when they barely expect it.

Hirokawa always hugs as a greeting; if you're her friend, you shall be hugged. If you believe what her brother's saying, her hugs can recharge your soul. He is prone to exaggeration, though.

Origwyn hugs spontaneously, usually when everyone starts dozing off near the fire, but also while on the run or while lying in wait in an ambush; she also hugs everyone in her vicinity, which caused numerous problems in the love triangle.

(aka the three of my self-inserts that have been explicitly described as 'cuddle bugs')

i decided to try and make a custom avatar for my main Icewind Dale EE character and i’m too tired to continue working on it and i think it looks ok

it’s too cold in Icewind Dale so she hides her wings under all the cloaks and for the sake of game mechanics counts as an elf

... i haven’t gotten out of the tutorial village yet but i wanted a custom avatar first
