how do u think lance would act if he got sick?? like. he does self-care. he's so vocal about things that bother him. but also he dives in front of bombs for people and can set aside his own feelings and needs for the team. hmmmm

I think Lance is better at looking after sick people than being sick, but in terms of castle residents, he’s probably one of the best at being sick because he’d actually get some rest UNLESS something Super Big is going down.

If it’s calm, he might have two seconds of denial for extremely minor symptoms, but it wouldn’t take much for him to be like “GUYS I’M DYING”. he’s the youngest but also the babysitter for all his cousins/niblings/etc. which means he probably knows the the best way to handle being sick so it’s gone as soon as possible. Hydrate lots and rest lots. He’s good as long as he has something to do that’s not sleep - if he gets awake enough to be bored with nothing else to do, all bets are off. Also he absolutely acts as dramatic as possible. Air said they do a thing where they tend to be like “noooo you shouldn’t be around me I’ll get you siiiick” while clinging to people and that’s Very Lance. He’s gotta be with people! What’s the point of being dramatic and miserable without someone to see you being dramatic and miserable. No folks around means he’s just miserable. But they also shouldn’t be around him because they’ll get sick. A Terrible Dilemma.

If there’s chaos he’d just do the thing where he just writes it off as ‘not important’ unless he’s literally passing out and not able to do anything. If this is a situation with 6 paladins instead of 5, and if it’s possible, he’d probably be able to go like “hey uh I’m not feeling to good can we shuffle around the lions”. But anyway even tho he knows how to take care of himself, and will take care of himself under the best circumstances, like you said - he’ll do what’s best for the team.

Anyway I think the worst people at being sick would be Keith and Pidge (won’t stop working, has to be supervised otherwise they’ll overwork themselves the second they get the chance). Shiro and Allura are inclined to overwork themselves, but will act reasonable about getting rest (judging from that scene in s2). Lance, and Coran are almost at the highest tier, but they’re also the most volatile - could be the best at looking out for themselves, but also, could be the worst. Hunk is at the top just because of consistency. Also the worst Hunk does is complain endlessly and overshare, which is only bad for everyone else.
