Regarding the United healthcare CEO being shot-

All news outlets are of course condemning such a "brutal killing" with only the BBC actually pointing out that UH as a company has done many fucked things included but not limited to denying people needed and valid medical treatment, as well as being sued by regulatory agencies.

And all I can think about is how they said "despite its controversies united healthcare profits are up 10 percent"

Despite??? You're joking right? People don't get to just choose not to deal with the most major American insurance company. It's not profits, it's EXTORTION. People can't just choose to abandon this company. Profits will always be up because youre talking about HEALTHCARE. You are saying that despite their scandals Americans aren't paying out of pocket for healthcare yet. Like they can choose to when ambulance rides cost $$$. Like the sheer tone deafness of all news coverage on this murder is making me crazy. This man is responsible for so much death. So much.

If you are a cis man, you simply aren't a victim of misogyny and if you are talking about who is the biggest victim of it and who benefits from the patriarchy, then you should fucking know that trans men will have experienced misogyny more than you because they spent time appearing as women even if they aren't. You as a cis man, did not have to spend any time being treated like a woman, so this isn't for you to talk about.

Today on burning questions I have but no one I can ask them to because I'm the only person out of all the plant folk I know this hyper fixated on the topic and therefore most knowledgeable:

There's a pansy variant called "matrix" and matrix pansies boast superior branching, as opposed to Delta pansies which are better at blooming fast and more vigorously.

I get that matrix pansies have that name probably because of the whole branching out thing. A matrix is like a sort of branching structure so ok sure.

But I SWEAR there's a pansy breeder having a laugh and poking fun at it.

Now look:

You see this guy? Its a matrix pansy, and what's this color called? Yellow purple? No. Drumroll please...

Its called Morpheus. Why??? I want to know if it's the reason I suspect! And the reason I suspect is that the breeder who made this color variant thought it would be funny if there was a pansy variety that said "Matrix(tm) Morpheus" on the pot. Or maybe, and I'm bullshit guessing here- maybe it has to do with red pigment vs blue pigment genes? Like the pill question Morpheus poses? Is it because it's one of the only color combos that mixes warm and cool?

The other idea I have is that it has something to do with morpho, which is different but similar, like this:

Its no "blue morpho butterfly" but it has a butterfly quality to it, so it probably has nothing to do with matrix Morpheus.

The thing is, these people who originate pansy varieties aren't credited and there isn't much information on the history of any given pansy variety, because all most gardeners care about is care info. And like, I'm scrolling through green house websites like yes yes, cool moist soil right but why is it named that.

I take testosterone but I'm a two spirit who presents in a very mixed sort of way. I have breasts and a beard. I don't bind outside of work .

You'd think I'm TME because I'm not transfem. But I'm still perceived as one OFTEN enough to get the same treatment a trans fem would. Just because I'm not transfem doesn't negate that perception people have of me and the treatment it earns me. I'm not "exempt" from that holy shit.

I've actually had other transfems think I'm transfem so this isn't just a "stupid bigot" mistake. It's just the reality of how I present.

Like TME/TMA is not helpful, it's exorsexist and it's misguided as hell. Like I'm really at a point where if you think this is ok I'm blocking you because in my eyes, you don't think I fucking exist and you're fine with binarist colonialism.

Anyway please look at my hot girlfriend

This is Marcy. She's so out of my league.

To be clear she is this specific color of pansy. Her nature is fleeting and ephemeral.

When a rose splotch pansy blooms in this special pinky color in my garden, it's Marcy visiting me. She doesn't visit me often, and only in cool times of the year, but my day is better when she blooms to see me.

She isn't currently blooming right now, but maybe she will come back after the snow

Where are the plantum folks? Where are the plant loving objectums? I want to follow y'all. Please interact, I feel like I'm the only one. This is such a grey area for objectum folks because technically plants are alive in a biological definitional sense but they behave like objects.

You can have a serious emotional and physically romantic relationship with a plant. It just won't look the same as one with a human.

I really want to write an educational guide post on plant loving because I honestly feel like there are a lot of plantum folks out there who just don't know it yet. I've also met folks who aren't plantum but find the topic fascinating.
