Weeks at the Beach
First ever fan fiction publicly shared. This is more of me experimenting than anything right now, especially with character voices and sentence structures. Also character structure.
Holy shit @orphanbrigade what have you done to me...
This is totally a rough draft of a series I’m considering pursuing while I’m out of school to help me stay sharp. Constructive comments are always welcome and I don’t mind taking requests. Enjoy the adventure, nerds.
The house was a mess. Geoff and Jack were both stressed with new crews coming in and the police becoming high maintenance and they needed to make themselves disappear until the heat died down. Jack suggested they go out for once with the family to a private beach lodge with all the money they had earned from heists. Everyone was finished with school and finals, so some time at a beach for a family vacation would be nice. Geoff stated they could bring one friend. Michael had immediately texted Lindsay to get a swim suit and beach bag ready. Gavin left the room so that he could call Meg and tell her the good news. Ray had groaned, but then messaged Tina to bring her biggest stash for a long week. Jeremy called Matt and asked his to bring his switch so they had something to do at the beach house. Which left Ryan feeling left out.
It wasn’t that he didn’t get along with the people his brothers had invited. On the contrary, he had great relationships with each on an individual level. He just knew that it was only a matter of time before they would all pair up and leave him to his lonesome. At first he considered that this would be the perfect opportunity to work on some coding for a new virus he wanted to use in a future heist, but Jack had explicitly said no work with a glare directed at Ryan, as well as Geoff.
So, he thought of all the friends he could invite.
It took him hours before a name popped into his head, and that was only because he started scrolling through contacts on his phone. One ring. Two rings. Three- “Hello?” “Hey Trevor, it’s Ryan. Mind meeting up for some coffee at the usual place?” “You know I can’t resist a good cup of joe. Especially at four in the morning. You’re buying though.”
“So… mind sharing why you wanted to talk? I thought Geoff mentioned after that last heist we needed to lay low?” “That’s still true… but this is about that laying low bit. Geoff and Jack decided to take the family on a vacation to solidify that. We are allowed to bring one friend along, and I thought… well-“ “I never thought you would pick me out of all your friends. What about the others?” “Already claimed. So what do you think? I already asked Geoff and he was totally on board for you coming along.” Trevor takes a long sip from his dark roast coffee before giving Ryan a lazy smile. “If we can smuggle a laptop along I’m all the way in, Rye-bread.” Ryan had let out a sigh of relief and smiled back. “So when is this little trip anyways?” “Today.” “You still have no concept of planning, do you?” He drinks a big gulp of his tea to hide the grin that had split across his face.
The next morning had Geoff sipping his coffee, enjoying the view and waiting for everyone to get ready for the long trip ahead. Jack came up behind him and lightly wrapped her arms around his shoulders, enjoying the view and the smell of clean shave from Geoff. “All the kids are ready to head out Geoff, we are waiting on you now.” He gave a light grunt in reply while the last of his hot coffee was finished in one gulp. “This is something we’ve been needing for a long time, Jack. It’s been ages since our last trip.” He stood up and turned around to face Jack and ask, “Trevor here already? it will be nice to get the kid some sun with Ryan.” Jack laughed and reached up to plant a kiss on his cheek. “Yes, as well as the rest of our guests.” Geoff looked down at her confused, then looked up when he heard a resounding crash and then yelling that could only be recognized as Gavin and Michael. When Geoff entered the garage, it was nothing but pure pandemonium. Everyone’s bags were being shoved harshly into the extra large RV he and Jack had bought for the occasion. All the noise died down as the kids realized that Geoff was staring at them, mouth agape and eyes wide. “WHAT DO YOU DICKHEADS THINK YOU’RE DOING?” Gavin was the first to speak: “What on earth are you on about, Geoff? We are trying to load the bloody luggage up so we can hit the road!” “I get that! What I can’t seem to understand is that I approved Trevor as the one friend to bring on this trip! Not a whole army of you kids!” A resounding exclamation of understanding came from all the boys. Jack had stepped in at this point and placed a hand on Geoff’s shoulder to calm him down. “Everyone load up. You will be rooming with your respective guests, and I expect the best behavior out of everyone. Now let’s load up and roll out!” One look at Jack’s smile and Geoff’s scowl had everyone neatly on the RV under a minute. Geoff heaved a big sigh before looking suspiciously at jack. “You knew about this, didn’t you?” Jack still had her sweet smile when she replied. “Why do you think I insisted on the deluxe RV and convinced you to let me arrange the beach house?” she gloated as she took his hand and pulled him to the RV. “Now let’s go before the boys realize I screened their bags for any weapons and confiscated all of it."

More interactions as the story progresses, as well as how the original crew came together! Head canon ideas are always welcome! I tend to stick to canon ships, but that doesn’t mean some other pairings won’t show up~
