Esta comisión la pedi que se basara en un cuadro que me marcó cuando comencé a redescubrir la fe, el nombre del cuadro es Cristo abrazando a San Juan el Bautista de Guido Renni, quien lo pintó en 1640 en el periodo barroco. Es simplemente un momento tan bello, intimo y calido entre nuestro Señor Jesus y su amado primo Juan, en la adolescencia de ambos, que me llena de felicidad penser en que el Mesias tambien tuvo momentos felices de tranquilidad junto a sus seres amados!
I asked this commission to be based on a painting that marked me when I began to rediscover the faith, the name of the painting is Christ embracing St. John the Baptist by Guido Renni, who painted it in 1640 in the Baroque period.It is simply such a beautiful, intimate and warm moment between our Lord Jesus and his beloved cousin John in their adolescence, and it fills me with joy to think that the Messiah also had happy moments of tranquility with his loved ones!!
Y a su vez, la razón por la que me marcó es porque me mostró una perspectiva que nunca antes habia visto de nuestro Señor y que jamás siquiera habia considerado hasta ese momento, la de un mejor amigo, un hermanito mayor, un confidente. Siempre estaba acostumbrado al aspecto de mas autoridad y poder, pero esta nueva arista mucho mas cercana fue como una invitación a confiar y acompañar.
And reason it marked me is because it showed me a perspective I had never seen before of our Lord and had never even considered until that moment, that of a best friend, a big brother, a confidant. I was always used to the aspect of more authority and power, but this new and much closer aspect was like an invitation to trust and feel his beautifull company!!
Asi que muchas gracias Señor Guido Renni, tu arte de hace 400 años ayudó a un joven a volver a la Fe!!!
