@orsinthebear
when nathan called him in the middle of the night, elias .. expected an emergency, but what he found .. wasn't necessarily that. well, it was & it wasn't. nathan had called him over for a favor. a big one no less. he knew the reason why he was called in for this was a grudge. elias ... might've helped trenton with intel on the werefox & he might or might not have played part in the reason why nathan had been cursed blessed with twins. so.. yeah, sure.. he had it coming. so, here he was, knocking on the door & waiting for the councilman to let him in. greeted with a nod, he stepped inside to find .. they weren't alone?
a good two hours later, he was headed home with a bear in tow. the sun was almost up by now, so instead of trying to maneuvered the bear into the makeshift bed on the couch, he sat him down on it & went to prepare breakfast for them. "you must be hungry." he hummed under his breath as he grabbed bacon & sausages from the fridge & eggs from the counter to make them the most opulent breakfast he could without having gone to the grocery store first.
so, the bear... didn't really speak human. elias didn't speak bear. or animal in general. surely, though... the scent of meat should ... help? it was strange having a bear in his home again. he thought that a bear would be the last thing to be finding on his living room couch again & for a split second when he turned around with filled plates, he could swear he saw trenton lounging on his couch. he didn't. but it felt real & he felt his heart clench at the sight.
it's not him. you're fine.
he moved slow around the other, setting the plate & cutlery down in front of him, although... part of him doubted he'd use it. "you uh, got a name?" he pointed at himself, "elias." waiting for their eyes to meet, "elias." then pointed at him & eyed him closely.
