Ink and Blood Characters: the final update

Last time I update this reference sheet I hope - with some new Metamoor characters now!

Also if you were hoping to only scroll art here you’re WRONG, I’m gonna ruin what could have been one of my top posts and make it become a three notes post by adding text and explanations that nobody asked for!

CEDRIC | ORUBE

It’s undeniable that this series is first and foremost about them: from when they meet for the first time to when they go through a marriage crisis, Cedric and Orube are the main characters and even appear where they are not supposed to star (like… in a story about Weira Escanor)

PHOBOS | ELYON

Phobos and Elyon appear in some way in most stories and generally with prominent roles. They slowly turn from enemies to siblings, and the stories set in old Metamoor explore who Phobos was before becoming the villain we know from the comics.

WEIRA | ZAYDEN

Ahh, my heart!! Weira and Zayden are only mentioned here and there in most stories, but they are of course protagonists in The Queen Mother. Zayden was the character that surprised me the most: I never thought much of him, until I had to write him and his marriage to Weira. Now he’s my hero (or in other words: yet another hot blondie in my stories)

ILENA | CALEB

These are very important people for Elyon: Ilena is her and Caleb’s daughter and future fourteenth Light of Meridian, and Caleb is her husband. Ilena does not appear much, because I never wrote and will probably never write the “future” story where she appears, but she’s in The Gift of Time.

MORE ESCANORS: DEULARA | REUNAN | ELIAS

Escanors of the old Metamoor: Queen Deulara is Weira’s mother and has a talent for scaring the hell out of her grandson every time he enters a room and there’s one of her portraits giving him the evil eye. Commander Prince Reunan and Elias Escanor (yeah, that Elias) are Weira’s half-brothers.

VANJA | VATHEK | FRECKLES

These are important people for Cedric and Orube: Vanja is their future daughter, who appears in The Gift of Time. Vathek is… well, Vathek <3 He doesn’t get much spotlight in this series, but he appears from time to time and is Cedric’s best bro. Freckles is Cedric’s other best bro - initially just a grumpy horse who gives him hell, he ends up growing fond of his new owner.

NAEXI | ASTER

These are Phobos’s important people. Naexi is his personal maiden and loyal friend - her story is told in The Maiden. Aster was an employee of a brothel and later becomes his significant other. He’s proof that not only the blondies are hot in this series.

NAGADIR | KEALAR

Nagadir is a canon characters and appears as one of Elyon’s maidens in Arc 4. She’s one of the maidens also in Ink and Blood and Naexi’s love interest. Kealar is another maiden and Cedric’s ex-girlfriend.

ASRIAT | MIRANDA | MORVEN

Miss Rottenmeier Asriat is Queen Deulara’s first advisor and will continue to have this role for a long time. She knows everything. Miranda (that Miranda!) and Morven are among the rare “true shapeshifters” of Metamoor, together with Cedric. They both work as mercenaries, like most shapeshifters do.

MIRIADEL | ALBORN

Mostly known as Elyon’s adoptive parents in the fandom, but in Ink and Blood they are also Elyon’s first advisor (Miriadel) and a retired Commander of the Champions (Alborn). Alborn’s story is somewhat heartbreaking if I think about it, but I can’t spoil it much because it’s mostly in The Queen Mother.

THE CHAMPIONS: NEREL | RHES | AYMON | ZHAREL | VALA | JEZIL

They appear mostly in “Home” and “Thorns and Bonds”, where they become the group of Champions led by Cedric.

BRANDIS COURT: CASSANDRA and ILYN | IDIER COURT: KIERAN

Cassandra/Kendrel was my very first OC and I’m very fond of her. Ilyn is her cousin and Lord of Brandis (he doesn’t appear much but apparently at some point I thought it was important to have his fanart?).

Kieran is… yet another hot guy, but from Idier.

Dhalia appears in The Queen Mother: she’s about the same age as Alasse and Weira and is their friend. She’s also related to Zayden. Lathai is her (future) son and will be Lord of Grendal during Elyon’s time. Another one who doesn’t appear much but apparently deserved fanart…

ACHERI | SHOSHAN

Acheri is Orube’s brother and leader of Basiliade. He’s also Yarr’s former apprentice. Shoshan (here as a teenager and as an adult) was his apprentice, then… things change.

REHU | MAUT

Rehu is a Master in Basiliade, the one who drew the short straw and had to train Cedric in their art of combat. Maut is Orube and Acheri’s half-sister.

YARR | RAZIYA | KILUBI

Our beloved Yarr appears mostly indirectly, except for The Right Choice where he appears where he belongs - next to Himerish. Yarr and Raziya are co-leaders of Basiliade together with Acheri. Kilubi is Yarr’s former apprentice (canon) and Shoshan’s sister.

They are canon characters, but I made up their names. They appear in “Home”.

It wouldn’t be a W.I.T.C.H. fanfiction without them! Admittedly, they never really have any spotlight. They appear somewhat regularly in earlier stories (The Book of Elements and Ink and Blood), then they only make some cameos. Time is not frozen in Ink and Blood, so they grow up and become adults, with all the problems being an adult and a Guardian of Kandrakar working for free can cause…

I also would like to mention some more terrestrial characters I did not draw: Joshua (the firefighter - canon character - and Orube’s ex-boyfriend), Jake and Ashley (Cassandra’s friends who will become responsible for Cedric’s bookstore) and most importantly, Emily and Robert, who appear in The Queen Mother.

THE KANDRACREW: HIMERISH | NAEEM | ENDARNO | LUBA

Last but not least: the Kandracrew!

They appear regularly in various stories, mostly as annoying burocrats, but sometimes (rarely) they kinda help. Naeem is an OC and is Luba’s successor as Guardian of the Aurameres after Orube leaves Kandrakar. He used to be Orube’s friend (with benefits).
