Orwellborg - Rockafire Explosion AU

In which Melvin’s world and childhood is fairly different, set in the 80’s, and his favorite place to spend his time is Showbiz Pizza Place.

—-Information: Melvin, very obviously, is obsessed with robots. After a birthday celebrated at Showbiz Pizza Place (competitor/predecessor to Chuck. E Cheese,) the animatronics are absolutely fascinating, he studies them and their schematics, but they’re facing bankruptcy because nobody else appreciates them as he does; most find them offputting or boring. Melvinborg travels back in time to before the eventual concept unification with CEC, and he takes the place of Orwell (Uncle Klunk) as a concept; a way to make the robots more interactive, understandable, and welcoming, so that maybe kids would find them endearing again instead of freaky! he gets to hang out with the rockafire explosion and he fucking loves the attention he gets, his own little nook and he’s best friends with all the robots and he hangs out with melvin and keeps him company! they do his homework after school in the booths, Melvinborg performs, ultimately saving the company crucial money and preventing the correlated failure of Uncle Klunk and it's wonderful and all is well :] (definitely one of my fluffier AU's) —-History: for those unawares as to showbiz history: One of the projects was called Orwell: A Robot You Control - where a retired Klunk had his cosmetics literally sliced in half to expose his inner-animatronics. Orwell was placed into the game room where guests could press different buttons on a panel in front of him to trigger his different movements and watch how they worked. -from ShowbizPizza.com (there's so little information about orwell specifically and i'm pretty sure the image attached (see bottom of post) is the only existing picture of his half-n-half version, so there's a lot of easy filling in the cracks and blanks with melvinborg flavored goop!)
