Well this wasn’t ever a lecture she thought she’d be giving--nor was her audience someone she would expect to be gazing at her raptly as she explained the etymology of a word. Then again, if life was consistent about one thing, it was its capacity for surprises. The faintest of smiles showed itself above the gloved hand that clasped her chin, violet eyes taking in a sight she imagined few had ever gotten the chance to lay their eyes upon; Owada Mondo engaged in learning.

If ever she needed proof that the standards for learning around the world needed changed, then this was it.

He hadn’t asked for a meaning of a singular word she had used, so he had either used context clues to figure them out.. or he knew what they meant already. And yet the school system had been content to label him a delinquent due to being unable to find the topics he held interest in and making them guide his learning. Such a disservice to his mind, she felt... and so after a carefully-measured inhale? She continued.
